In the context of biblical studies, pastors and theologians have an important responsibility to address biblical questions and guide their congregations in understanding God's absolute truth. It has come to my attention, however, that a male pastor named Sulema has been teaching that the doctrines of the apostle Paul were not a revelation from Christ Jesus (2 Peter 3:16). This assertion warrants scrutiny, as it appears to contradict the biblical record.
While it is true that some of Paul's teachings are challenging to understand, this does not diminish their value or authority. On the contrary, the complexity of Paul's teachings can be seen as evidence of their depth and richness. These teachings demand careful study, discernment, and spiritual insight to comprehend fully.

Furthermore, the complexity of Paul's teachings helps to ensure that followers engage with the Scripture intellectually and spiritually, thereby developing a more nuanced understanding and personal relationship with Christ. However, it is important to approach these teachings with respect, humility, and a willingness to seek guidance when necessary to avoid misunderstandings and distortions.

Understanding the unity of Scripture is important when evaluating the significance of Paul's teachings. The Bible is a single, divinely inspired work, and we should approach its teachings as a coherent whole. The New Testament, which features the writings of the apostles, including Paul, enriches and elaborates on the teachings of Jesus.

In addition, Jesus Himself affirmed the authority and reliability of the Old Testament Scriptures while also entrusting His authority and teachings to His apostles. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the apostles were tasked with proclaiming and explaining the message of Jesus to the early Christian communities. Their writings, therefore, carry the weight of Christ's authority.

Paul's unique calling as an apostle to the Gentiles, personally chosen by Jesus Himself, is further evidence of the importance of his teachings. His letters, found in the New Testament, provide essential teachings on theology, Christian living, and the formation of the early Church. Ignoring Paul's writings would mean neglecting a significant portion of God's revelation.

Moreover, Paul's teachings align with the teachings of Jesus, as he expounds on important theological concepts such as salvation by grace through faith, the unity of believers in Christ, and the importance of love. His letters serve as a valuable resource for understanding and applying Jesus' teachings in different cultural contexts.

Finally, the early Christian communities recognized the authority of the apostles' writings, including Paul's letters, and considered them Scripture. Including Paul's letters in the New Testament canon demonstrates the unanimous acknowledgment of their value and authority among early Christians.

It is important to recognize the value of the apostle Paul's teachings as a complement to the teachings of Jesus. The complexity of these teachings demands careful study and discernment, but it also provides evidence of their depth and richness.

To approach these teachings with respect, humility, and a willingness to seek guidance is wise and necessary to avoid misunderstandings and distortions. Ultimately, the unity of Scripture and the authority of the apostles' writings, including Paul's letters, bear witness to the importance of these teachings for understanding God's truth.
