Life in the Strength of Christ
Life in the Strength of Christ

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power." (Ephesians 6:10).
The battles of spiritual warfare are a constant part of our lives, testing our inner strength and faith. Apostle Paul assures believers in Christ that they have been given the armor of God and the power of Christ to stand strong against the evil one. Living a life of strength in Christ's character is a protective shield in this spiritual battle.
In his letter to the Ephesians, Paul encourages us to "be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power." We are not left defenseless in this battle, for God fights on our behalf. He has equipped us with the spiritual armor necessary to withstand enemy attacks.
The belt of truth enables believers to discern true and false, protecting us from the enemy's lies and deceit. The breastplate of righteousness covers our hearts from guilt, shame, and condemnation attacks. The shoes of the gospel of peace guide our footsteps in spreading the message of peace wherever we go.
The shield of faith is necessary to put off the fiery arrows of the evil one. Our faith in the supreme God is a firm conviction that He is faithful and true to His promises. The helmet of salvation pertains to our daily reality of salvation in Christ, assuring us of our eternal destiny. Finally, the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, is a powerful weapon to overcome the lies of the enemy and declare the truth of God's love and victory.
Achieving a life of strength in Christ's character requires discipline, perseverance, and a deep reliance on the power of the Holy Spirit. Be encouraged by the promise that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. Put on the whole armor of God and stand firm against the enemy's schemes. Walk in the strength of Christ's character, shining His light in a world that desperately needs it. May your life testify to His love, grace, and power.
