Staying Positive in Christ
Staying Positive in Christ

As Christ's followers, we often find ourselves worrying and facing unknowns that might bring us down or overwhelm us. But with our faith in Christ Jesus is a source of hope and confidence. We can stay positive no matter what happens. Knowing that, regardless of how things turn out or how long it takes, everything will be okay in the end.
One essential aspect of staying positive is remembering that God is in control. Even when things seem terrible, we can find comfort knowing that our sovereign Lord cares for us. Jesus says, "If you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you" (Matthew 17:20). By putting our worries and fears in His hands, we can stay positive, confident that He is working everything out for our good (Romans 8:28).
Another way to stay positive is to focus on the promises God has made to us in His Word. The Bible is full of assurances about His faithfulness, provision, and love for us. One of these promises is Psalm 27, verses 13 and 14: "I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." By pondering these promises and believing in them, we can maintain a positive outlook, knowing that God always keeps His Word. Choosing to be grateful for our circumstances in life is a powerful tool to change our perspective and lift our spirits.
Even when things are tough, we can choose to focus on the blessings and goodness that God has given us. Jesus says, "Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?" You see, God knows that our livelihood is important. So, if we intentionally practice gratitude, we can keep a positive attitude and trust that God is with us every step of the way.
It's easier to stay positive when we surround ourselves with a supportive community of fellow believers. Ecclesiastes 4, verses 9 and 10, tells us that "two are better than one because if one falls, the other can help them up." When we share our burdens and joys with other Christians, we find encouragement, accountability, and renewed hope. The support of others who share our faith strengthens our confidence in knowing that we are not alone, and with God's help, we can overcome any challenge.
Remember, staying positive doesn't mean everything will always be perfect. It means believing that, no matter what happens, we will be okay because our faith is in Christ Jesus. So, let's trust Him, hold onto His promises, and lean on the support of our Christian community. With God by our side, we can stay positive and find hope in every situation.
"Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations, forever and ever!" Amen! (Eph 3:20-21).
Would you like to pray with me?
Heavenly Father, we thank you for our assurance in Christ Jesus. Help us to trust in Your control, hold onto Your promises, and choose to be thankful. Surround us with a community of believers who will uplift and encourage us. May our confidence and hope in You shine brightly, enabling us to stay positive in every situation. In Jesus' name, Amen.
