"Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with harp and lyre, praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord" (Psalm 150:1-6).

Praising the Lord means expressing gratitude, reverence, and adoration towards God. It involves acknowledging and appreciating God's greatness, goodness, and power. Praising the Lord can take various forms, such as singing hymns, reciting prayers, giving thanks, serving others, and living a righteous life. It is a way to deepen one's faith, connect with God, and experience blessings and peace.

Praising our Lord is essential because he is the creator and sustainer of the universe through Christ. He has reconciled us to Himself for the praise of his glory, as mentioned in Colossians 1:17. It's a great thing to wake up with the breath of life, and we should praise God for it. The psalmist also encourages us to express our gratitude to the Lord through praise.

Many individuals find it challenging to praise God amidst their daily activities, such as work, family life, school, and recreation. However, taking the time to praise the Lord is a significant accomplishment. But why is it so important?
Well,  no need to make any excuses.

Today's devotional reading says we should praise the Lord. The psalmist says to glorify God in his mighty heavens for his abundant greatness (for who he is) and praise him for his mighty acts (that is what he has done). Let me ask you this question, where do you praise God? Where? In his sanctuary, which is a place of worship. Has the Lord done any good in your life?

If so, then praise him. No musical instrument is to remain silent, and neither is any voice. Everything that breathes is to render praise. The psalmist is calling us to worship the Lord. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord.
