A Prayer for Inner Strength
A Prayer for Inner Strength by Pastor Redd
By Pastor Alexander L. Redd
(Ephesians 3:16-17)
In his powerful message, Paul shares the incredible blessings we receive through our faith in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 3:16-17). He humbly prays that, from the boundless riches of God, we may feel His empowering presence deep within us.
Encouraging us in moments of discouragement, Paul desires that we recognize the spiritual gifts already given to us. The Holy Spirit is here to strengthen our inner selves, equipping us with the power needed to stand firm in our faith, especially in a world that can sometimes make us feel alone and powerless.
It’s important to remember that the Holy Spirit is not just a distant source of strength; He actively reveals Christ in our hearts. This divine presence is crucial for finding comfort in tough times and for gaining the strength to live a life that reflects Christ’s love and holiness.
His divine presence empowers us to share the Gospel and embody the values of our faith. Paul teaches us this important truth: Christ Jesus dwells within us through faith. When we place our trust in Him, who forgives our sins and sacrificed Himself for us, we invite His Spirit to inhabit our hearts.
Paul’s prayer is that this deeper reality of life transforms our lives, guiding us every step of the way. Therefore, my brothers and sisters, let us embrace this inner strength and shine brightly in the world for the glory of God.
